Terms of UseGavel Guide
These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the website located at gavelguide.com and any related pages, forms, or quizzes operated by My Gavel Guide ("Gavel Guide," "we," "us," or "our"). By using this site, submitting information through it, or clicking "Start," you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
1. About Gavel Guide — Not a Law Firm
Gavel Guide is an advertising and referral service. We are not a law firm, we do not employ attorneys, and we do not provide legal advice, legal representation, or legal services of any kind. We do not recommend, evaluate, endorse, or guarantee any attorney, and we do not review the merits of your case.
2. Eligibility
This site is intended for adults 18 years of age or older located in the United States. By using this site you represent that you meet these requirements.
3. The Service We Provide
We ask a short set of questions to understand the basic facts of your situation. Where your answers indicate you may have a workers' compensation matter worth reviewing, we may pass the information you submit to one or more participating attorneys or law firms so they can contact you about a possible free case review. Participating attorneys pay Gavel Guide a flat advertising fee for these introductions; we are not paid based on the outcome of any case.
4. No Attorney-Client Relationship; No Legal Advice
Using this site, submitting the quiz, or being contacted by a participating attorney does not create an attorney-client relationship between you and Gavel Guide, or between you and any attorney, unless and until you and that attorney sign a written engagement agreement. Nothing on this site is legal advice, and nothing you submit is reviewed by a lawyer on our behalf before being shared with a participating attorney.
5. Attorney Advertising
Pages on this site constitute attorney advertising in some jurisdictions. The advertisement is paid for by participating attorneys and law firms. Prior results do not guarantee a similar outcome, and any results referenced were obtained by participating attorneys and are not typical of every case.
6. Consent to Be Contacted
By submitting the form on this site, you consent to be contacted by Gavel Guide and/or a participating attorney at the phone number and email address you provide — including by phone call, text message (SMS), and automated or prerecorded means — even if your number is on a state or federal Do Not Call registry. Message and data rates may apply. Consent to be contacted is not required as a condition of receiving legal services from any attorney, and you may revoke consent at any time by replying STOP to a text message or contacting us using the information below.
7. Accuracy of Information
You agree to provide accurate, current, and truthful information when using this site. We may rely on the information you submit without independently verifying it.
8. Intellectual Property
All content on this site — including text, graphics, logos, and design — is owned by or licensed to Gavel Guide and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute this content without our prior written permission.
9. Third-Party Links & Participating Attorneys
This site may link to, or share your information with, third parties including participating attorneys and law firms. We do not control and are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or conduct of any third party, including any participating attorney. Your interactions with a participating attorney are solely between you and that attorney.
10. Disclaimers
This site and its content are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that any participating attorney will contact you or that you will qualify for or receive any legal service.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Gavel Guide and its owners, employees, and agents will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of this site or any interaction with a participating attorney.
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold Gavel Guide harmless from any claims, losses, or damages, including reasonable attorneys' fees, arising from your misuse of this site or violation of these Terms.
13. Governing Law & Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, unless otherwise required by applicable law where you reside.
14. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date above reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

Privacy PolicyGavel Guide
This Privacy Policy explains how My Gavel Guide ("Gavel Guide," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you visit gavelguide.com or use our quiz (together, the "Site").
1. Information We Collect
We collect information in the following ways:
- Information you provide. Answers to our quiz questions (such as when an incident occurred, your work-injury and treatment status, and the state where it occurred), and contact details you submit — first and last name, email address, and phone number.
- Automatically collected information. Device and browser type, IP address, pages viewed, referring URL, approximate location, and interactions with the site, collected via cookies and similar technologies.
- Information from advertising partners. Click identifiers and campaign data (such as UTM parameters) when you arrive from an ad on Google, Meta, or another platform, used to measure ad performance.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To determine whether you may qualify for a free case review and connect you with a participating attorney;
- To contact you by phone, text, or email about your submission;
- To operate, maintain, and improve the site and our quiz;
- To measure and optimize our advertising campaigns;
- To detect fraud, abuse, or unlawful activity; and
- To comply with legal obligations.
3. How We Share Your Information
- Participating attorneys and law firms. If your answers indicate you may have a workers' compensation matter, we share your submitted information with one or more participating attorneys so they can contact you directly. Once shared, your information is subject to that attorney's own privacy practices.
- Service providers. Vendors who help us operate the site, host data, send communications, or process payments, bound by confidentiality obligations.
- Advertising & analytics partners. Platforms such as Meta and Google, to measure and improve ad performance. These partners may use cookies or similar technologies subject to their own privacy policies.
- Legal & safety. Where required by law, legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Gavel Guide, our users, or others.
- Business transfers. In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to standard confidentiality protections.
We do not sell your name, email address, or phone number to data brokers for their own unrelated marketing purposes.
4. Cookies & Tracking Technologies
We use cookies and similar technologies to remember your session, measure site performance, and attribute conversions to the ad campaign that brought you here. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling them may affect how the site functions.
5. SMS & Phone Consent
By submitting your phone number, you consent to receive calls and text messages — including automated or prerecorded messages — from Gavel Guide and/or a participating attorney about your case review request. Message and data rates may apply. Text HELP for help or STOP to opt out of text messages at any time; opting out of texts does not withdraw consent to be contacted by other means unless you also request that.
6. Your Privacy Choices & Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, or to opt out of certain sharing. To make a request, contact us using the information below. We will respond in accordance with applicable law. You may also opt out of marketing emails using the unsubscribe link in any email we send.
7. Data Retention
We retain your information for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this policy, comply with legal obligations, and resolve disputes, after which it is deleted or de-identified.
8. Data Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Children's Privacy
This site is not directed to, and we do not knowingly collect information from, anyone under 18 years of age. If you believe a minor has provided us information, contact us and we will take steps to delete it.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date above reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be reflected on this page.
